Hometown / A-side bias is a universal problem in our sport, not just in the US.
But there is a point here, if roles were reversed I'm sure Golovkin is at least 1-0-1 vs Canelo.

Both were close fights but you have to feel sorry for Golovkin getting a draw and loss when the majority (granted, there are knowledgeable people who differ) thought he won both fights.

Gordo, step inside a gym. You might be able to land a chick that isn't nasty once you drop 8 pant sizes.

Setting tough, but not impossible goal for you — get a chick that ain't nasty.

    Sure, Gordo. Sure.

Remember, you have an easy goal — a chick that's just not nasty. That's it.

    Round 1 Golovkin 10-9

Clear Golovkin round, he caught a ton of Canelo's shots on his gloves and arms, parried several as well. His jab was consistently pumpig and connecting more often than not, Canelo landed one decent shot, the left hook.

    Round 1 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 2 Alvarez 10-9

The eye catching shots were landing from Canelo, especially early, with his jarring left hook uppercut, his speed giving GGG issues, working the body Gennady took over with his jab, then it went back in Canelo's direction with his overhand right and hook to the body.

    Round 1 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 2 Alvarez 10-9
    Round 3 Golovkin 10-9

Close round, but, Golovkin's jab more effective, he's slipping or catching many of Canelo's shots, even many of the thudding shots are on the gloves, Golovkin looking skittish may a sway a few, but he still connected with more.

    Round 2 Alvarez 10-9
    Round 3 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 4 Golovkin 10-9

Solid Golovkin round, he landed two nasty uppercuts, hooks, beautiful jabs, Canelo was missing some of his shots by a mile, but did manage to get in some decent hooks to the body.

    Round 3 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 4 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 5 Golovkin 10-9

Closer than the 4th, but still a GGG round, Golovkin's jab, cleaner shots and defense edged it for him, Canelo's shots getting wilder and more inaccurate, some whizzing past with such velocity its making GGG looks like BJS.

    Round 4 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 5 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 6 Alvarez 10-9

Ridiculously close, a lot of Canelo's shots are being caught on the arms of GGG, GGG's jab is sharper as are his hooks, Golovkin did far better in this round than I thought the first time, but Canelo's body work edged it towards him just barely.
