    Round 4 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 5 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 6 Alvarez 10-9
    Round 7 Alvarez 10-9

One of Canelo's better rounds and it was still close to even, he landed several one twos, hooks and body shots, both men look winded, but still, GGG's jab and a few heavy combos late, came close to evening that one up as well.

After a decent opening 30 seconds Canelo's output dropped by quite a bit, GGG's accurate jab and hooks take the 8th with relative ease.

Both men going all out, Canelo fought his heart out, but many of his shots were being caught on the arms of GGG, who was shelling up effectively in between his shots, GGG's vicious hooks and uppercuts and one jab visibly snapping the head of Canelo shades the 12th for him.

    117-111 Golovkin

    Not a round changed.:deal:

Okay, here's the deal, the rounds with the asterisks are damn close swing rounds, that it wouldn't be shocking if they went to the other fighter, and I don't have much of an issue with them being scored that way. But Golovkin solidly won the 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th.11th, that's 6 rounds.

    Round 1 Golovkin 10-9*
    Round 2 Alvarez 10-9
    Round 3 Golovkin 10-9*
    Round 4 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 5 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 6 Alvarez 10-9*
    Round 7 Alvarez 10-9*
    Round 8 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 9 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 10 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 11 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 12 Golovkin 10-9*

Fine say my 117-111 score is a bit wide, give Canelo the 1st, its 116-112, give him the 3rd, its 115-113, give him with 12th, which I think is insane, its 114-114. Okay, so... where's the extra round to put Canelo over the edge? Because an argument could easily be made that GGG took the 6th and the 7th as well, they were razor close, which would put it back up to 115-113 or 116-112. Say you score the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th and 12th 10-10, because this is one of those rare cases where that wouldn't be all that egregious, what do we get?

    Round 1 10-10
    Round 2 Alvarez 10-9
    Round 3 10-10
    Round 4 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 5 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 6 10-10
    Round 7 10-10
    Round 8 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 9 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 10 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 11 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 12 10-10

    119-114 Golovkin

Maybe not all of them 10-10, just one or more here and there, and...

    Or 118-114, or 117-114, 116-114, 115-114

In no scenario does it ad up to a Canelo win.:deal:

And for the record, all of these are acceptable scores, the only ones that are not are 115-113 Canelo.

The thing is, if I twist every criteria a certain way I could come with 115-113 Canelo, but that's not reflecting reality. We should at least try to keep things as objective as possible, even if that means we get more draws, so be it. What happened to GGG in both fights is ridiculous, at least he's rich now...

Hell if you flip the two close Canelo rounds and leave all the close GGG rounds, 119-109 GGG would be plausible.:number_one:

Yes but if you give Canelo all the swing rounds and pretend to tie your shoelaces as Golovkin does his best work and I slip a fat brown envelope into your back pocket, I think you will find the extra rounds.

It's weird, I don't think Canelo won the 6th and 7th at all (can't even see having them level) but I did give him the first three while you gave him just one (the second) flanked by the first and third for GGG.

Either way, though, we agree that 4-5 and 8-11 are CLEAR as day Golovkin rounds in which you can't even make a case for Canelo. That's a worst case scenario draw for Golovkin, if someone were to improbably find a justification for giving Canelo all of the rest of the rounds disputed between us along with the second which I think we all unanimously agree was clearly his.
