I had Golovkin winning 8 rounds to 4.

Gonzaalez was cheated, the crowd booed the decision. When Jacobs said he won the fight, the crowd booed him...............Jacobs is a cheat, broke the IBF rules on weight. Rumors are that he never took the drug tests............

Yeah, that's it. And maybe I'm just so handsome I intimidate women, and that's why I'm single.

I had it 114-113 Jacobs, slight injustice to Jacobs but not a robbery IMO.

I have to give big props to Jacobs' trainer, he did an amazing job. I also have to give major props to Daniel Jacobs' son's suit tailor, great outfit lol.
There has been so many even flights lately that could've went either way...maybe boxing is evolving where everyone is starting to just neutralise eachother lol.

Daniel Jacobs is and has ALWAYS been an A grade fighter with decent boxing skill and fine power. He can get reckless but he showed so much poise last night and is nothing short of an elite fighter. This performance really cements his position as an elite.

I don't take much heed in my scorecard given I didn't take official scores and had an awful link, but I had Danny winning by 2 rounds. Give Danny his credit. He got dropped by Mora? Big deal, Andre Ward was dropped by Boone. Danny beat Mora twice.
He got KO'd by Pirog? Pirog was some weird-styled mythical creature that Emmanuel Steward was going nuts over and look at the set up for the KO and tell me who on earth would've been able to read a KO set-up like THAT.

Refreshing to see honesty like this. Funnily enough, I didn't think GGG clearly won it and thought it probably went the other way.

They were not going to let Danny Jacobs spoil the GGG-Canelo plan if it was a close fight. There is some money to be made.

Roman Gonzalez is too compact with his style (offense and defence woven together) and it makes for some close fights as eye catching flurries that are not necessarily completely clean by his opponents can overwhelm his compactness + his size and power disadvantages. I have to give him huge credit for fighting at Super Flyweight.

Damn bro you're right. Idk what I was thinking when I quoted you lol. I must have misread your quote as "This is a bad match up stylistically for GGG" or some ****. My bad, I went full ****** there.

Ward-Kovalev was a big robbery but Jacobs looked dominating almost all of the fight. Outside the knockdown, GGG barely won any rounds. The first and second were clearly Jacobs rounds. Jacobs controlled the distance, Jacobs controlled the pace of the fight, the fight was fought on Jacobs terms.

Just throwing punches and missing doesn't win rds. GGG's accuracy was trash last night, I'd be interested in seeing the compubox numbers. Jacobs, who isn't a very defensive fighter, looked like Mayweather last night at certain parts of the fight and his defense wasn't even good. GGG just couldn't handle it. When Jacobs wanted to unload to keep GGG at bay, he succeeded.

I don't have to score the fight to know that Jacobs won. It wasn't even close. Take away the knockdown and GGG probably wins 3 rds at most.

Most of the rounds were close but I don't think Jacobs did enough overall to claim victory. An MD or SD might have been more accurate.

This is a terrible and biased post. Golovkin outlanded, out threw, landed at a high percentage, knocked Jacobs down, and came forward. Some of you Golovkin haters are ridiculous. Most had Golovkin winning. Jacobs was game but he did not win.

Re-scoring since it was 4 am in the morning for me and I was tired:

Round 1. GGG 10-9 close. Jacobs landed one combination around the 2 minute mark, as well as a few other nice shots, but GGG just landed too many jabs not to give him this round.

Round 2. Jacobs 10-9 very close. Very, very close round. Golovkin landed more jabs, Jacobs landed a few nice counterpunches. Am giving it to Jacobs because those counter-punches were cleaner than any of Golovkin's power punches, but it would not be unfair to score it for Golovkin or even.

Round 3. Jacobs 10-9 very close. Another very close round. Golovkin won the first half of the round easily, Jacobs came back strong in the last minute with some nice shots. Once again it would not be unfair to score it for Golovkin or even.

Round 4. GGG 10-8. Clear Golovkin round with a knockdown, Jacobs recovered well but obviously lost the round.

Round 5. GGG 10-9. A clear Golovkin round, Jacobs a bit cautious at the start of the round after the knockdown in the previous round.

Round 6. Jacobs 10-9. First half of the round Jacobs uses excellent movement to evade GGG while scoring with some light punches. In the second half of the round Jacobs lands several good combinations while GGG only has a few good shots here and there.

    Halfway score: GGG 57-56 Jacobs

Round 7. Jacobs 10-9 close. Slow start to the round, Jacobs not landing much but GGG even less. At about 1:40 GGG corners Jacobs and landed a few power punches, which Jacobs takes very well. Jacobs responds well with his own combination at 1:30. It's a close round, giving it to Jacobs as he did more work.

Round 8. GGG 10-9 close. Another close round, Jacobs having his moments but overall GGG landed the more telling blows in this round.

Round 9. GGG 10-9 close. Jacobs starts with a good couple of left hooks. He is edging the round, until he gets caught and buzzed a little in the last 30 seconds and GGG takes the round.

Round 10. Jacobs 10-9. Good round with more action than some of the others. Jacobs' boxing and moving is working well, despite GGG having his moments it's a Jacobs round.

Round 11. Jacobs 10-9. Similarly to the previous round, Jacobs' movement is allowing him to edge the round. He gets the better of the best exchange of the round.

Round 12. GGG 10-9. GGG starts well, lands a jab. Scrappy fighting up close with neither doing much better than the other. Around 2:00-1:50 GGG lands several nice single shots. Jacobs with a couple of nice shots around 1:15-1:00. Golovkin with a 1-2 at 0:20. It's Golovkin round overall, he outlands Jacobs in this round.

Final score: GGG 114-113. Had it by a point to Jacobs last night, on re-watching it's now a point to GGG.

    Round 1 Jacobs
    Round 2 Ggg
    Round 3 ggg
    Round 4 ggg (10-8)
    Round 5 ggg
    Round 6 Jacobs
    Round 7 Jacobs
    Round 8 Jacobs (close)
Round 9 Ggg (close, critical round because I had Jacobs up until last 45 seconds when first of two good uppercuts land for ggg followed by hard Jab that clearly has Jacobs stunned)
    Round 10 Jacobs
Round 11 Jacobs (close Jacobs looks tired and his punches are much more sloppy but I gave him round for flurry right at bell where he landed good punch)
Round 12 ggg. Initiated the action landed the cleaner shots

    GGG 114-113
Last time I watched it I had it 115-112 ggg

Bottom line this was a close quality match

    My card

Considering GGG is my favorite fighter and I was rooting for him the entire way, your statement is rendered false.

Your comment is fallacious. Just because multiple people share a similar opinion or belief does not make it fact.
