DDLH 10-9. Good first round, but De La Hoya a little cleaner and sharper with the shots landed.

 

my prediction for tonight is an 11th rd stoppage of canelo when he is ahead on the cards 6-4.
ggg will not allow canelo the rest he is accustomed to giving himself in between the action, coupled with the extra weight he will be carrying, will cause him to slow down just enough to allow openings beginning around the 9th rd.
canelo will take away ggg's jab by countering over the top and his left uppercut will be scoring when ggg bends to his right in a defensive position. ggg will be getting outpointed but will be doing enough damage to slow down canelo in the latter part of the fight.
about the end of the second-middle of the third, ggg will hurt canelo enough to put him on the defensive and force him to avoid exchanges and limit ggg's countering opportunities. ggg's lack of defensive movement will make canelo appear much faster than ggg, which will be reflected in the scoring. as canelo starts to slow, he will begin to trade flurries with ggg and this is where he will start to take the heaviest damage.
the fight will be exciting and ggg will get hit more than in any other fight prior but his chin will see him through the fire to force a stoppage in the championship rds.

According to Compubox Caballero is doubling DLH in landed punches, but he has lost both rounds imo.

I thought Rojo won 96-93ish being somewhat generous to Martin who never won a really clear round. Not a huge robbery as most rounds were close but Rojo was landing harder and cleaner.
