it the HBO using propaganda to make people belive chavez jr isnt training, i mean what sort of an idiot gets the biggest fight of his career so far and doesnt train for it, i think he is training and the HBO boys are getting one over on us.

even if he genuinly isnt training, is it just so he can use the i didnt train for this fight excuse?

Yeah, I kinda like the part hen HBO held the gun to Chavez Jr's head and made him say that "he didn't feel like training".

    SMH @ these posters.

Luke,do you honestly think Freddie Roach wants to look like he's training a guy who takes the **** and doesn't turn up just so 24/7 looks dramatic?
Don't you think it's far more likely that Jnr is a lazy little **** and HBO are just grabbing a perfect dramatic moment and wringing it dry?
And do you think Jnr will get a pass for losing just because he'll say he didn't train?

im with you on all fronts, i think he will in his mind yeah, mike tyson lost to who ever because he didnt train, i dont buy it for one second but its like its the useual thing, i think chavez loses no matter how hard he trains.

I've been of the opinion that Chavez gets stopped late after surprising many with a brave(if a tad ineffective) performance.
I knew he wasn't the best trainer but it doesn't bode well for my prediction.
Will there be weigh-in dramas? I thought he'd get his **** together for the biggest fight of his life.
And I know people say Marquez and Barrera were fairly priveledged in Mexican terms, but Jnr has never had the hunger that's usually prevelant in Mexican warriors.

marquez and barrera were not so priveledged, barrera still had to work, but yeah chavez jr is gifted. he has a good chin thouhg and if it goes the distance i dont see martinez winning.

I said a similar thing in another thread.

I wonder how much of what 24-7 are portraying is reflective of the truth. It's clear they've taken the angle of Martinez being the humble hard worker, whilst Chavez is the rich play boy rolling out of bed at six in the evening and walking around in his briefs eating a bowl of cereal.

On another note, Chavez's trash-talk has been quite lame. Martinez's has been good. His comes off as real genuine when dismissing Chavez as nothing: like when he was sitting and watching him call him out, saying "It's a farce that Junior is the world champion. It's embarrassing"

The way he shakes his head and gives a baffling smile. It's a mixture of anger and amusement. Seriously, this guy is gonna' pound Chavez big time. A carbon-copy of Pacquiao-Margarito.
