You wouldn't say the same if they developed a jaw sensor, would you?

American fans don't even go to support their own fighters, why would anyone expect them to show up for this? Boxing should start following the German model- all fights on free to air TV, and held in huge football stadiums. If that was the case for this fight then it would be huge, everyone would be talking about it.

No chance of Mayweather vs Pacquiao now. Soon as the world sees how hard Manny really hits, Floyd will be back on vacation.

these guys haven't even made names for themselves guys....they're both unproven fighters. You're overrating them as hardcore boxing fans.

Now I think about it- **** this punch force thing. People on here will bang on about it forever. Whenever their favourite fighter throws a particularly hard punch everyone will be raving about it, and fantasy match ups will be done on statistics rather than styles and ability. Its a HBO gimmick we could do without

I think it's a good idea to bring in more boxing fans. Much better than that stupid "open scoring" sh1t they did a couple years back.

:deal maybe they wanted to be in a neutral ground, but really money wise these guys should be fighting where there homebase is. You don't see Pacman fighting in the Philipines or Floyd fighting outside America. Maybe the value of the dollar has something to do with it.

I have a feeling it will only bring in mindless MMA fans who are only interested in violence and have no appreciation for the technical side to boxing. That sounds pretty elitist... but whatever

With this new Punchforce deal as long as it doesn't interfere with the fighters performance I don't see any harm done. It would be interesting to see which fighters really do have glass jaws or are more prone to bodyshots. Power isn't everything in the game, but it would still be interesting how a fighters power is in the ring vs a mobile object than one that is standing still like that other machine they have for measuring power. This one from Punch Force is far more interesting to me than that other one.

Too bad they couldn't get that implemented in time for Martinez-Williams II. I'd love to know just how much force was on that hellish left hook!

when people argue or talk, it is always good in the entertainment industry.

it is high time that the sagging and almost irrelevant boxing industry adapt modern technology to make non-boxing fans take notice.

we are already using iphone 4, ipad but still we are fighting under the original marquis of queensberry rules (1865).

The purist are actually making the industry irrelevant. Imagine if fights are taken in 3 dimensional since 3 d TVs are becoming ubiquitous. That would be something to behold!

Everybody should be welcome to watch boxing!

I don't get why everyone who watches boxing is required to know the intricacies of the art or science of it.

The more people who watch it, the better. Otherwise, it would become a fringe-sport - where only those that have ESB account actually watches the fight.
