Golovkin and his team do not want that fight, guaranteed.

Froch will test GGG's defense and the strength of his head.

Ward would be a harder fight for GGG and he has clearly said he wants that fight but he would duck Froch? :huh

    Makes no sense.

Would that fight be for the right to face a cashing-out, 168 lbs JCC Jr? Or was the Chavez Jr fight already handed over to Ward's team (post-Rodriguez)?

Ward vs Chavez Jr is a mismatch that ends Junior, propels Ward to new levels... if Martinez-Chavez was on PPV, Ward-Chavez could be on PPV as well with Froch-Golovkin.

Ward vs. Chavez, Golovkin vs. Chavez, and Froch vs. Chavez would all be mismatches that end Junior.

Didn't chavez jr say that he wants Froch next. That is an easier and more lucrative move for Froch than GGG

Lol was just about to post this. Nearly wet myself. Holiday is out the window in 2014 if this gets made. I will literally travel to Siberia for it. FOTY written all over it. #warcobra

I am assuming this will be at MSG/MGM if it gets made?

Froch has the most options of all the 168/175lbs fighters.

Nah, Froch is the tougher opponent for GGG because of his granite jaw. GGG is a good enough boxer to get past Ward's admittedly excellent defence and when he does and connects, he'd shatter Ward's GLASS jaw.

    GGG KO in 8 rounds.

I'd rather see Froch fight GGG than Chavez Jr. Chavez Jr is a clown; it would be Froch vs Bute all over again. GGG vs Froch though is interesting; could go either way.

    GGG would slowly beat Froch.

Froch is a big crowd puller though. His ego is massive and he say all his BS with a competely straight face.

Martinez-Chavez did almost 500K PPV buys, I think HBO can build it up proper and pull it off. The son of a legend vs #2 P4P kinda thing.

HBO might show Froch's destruction of Groves on tape delay, they'll show GGG's destruction of Stevens live... Froch-Golovkin being the main undercard fight to Ward-Chavez Jr sets up the stage for either a legit Ward-Froch rematch or an intriguing Ward-Golovkin fight where GGG will have moved up a division and beat a titleholder (nevermind the division's #2).

With all his ego in place he still gives props to GGG: ""Sure, Golovkin is frightening but I fear no man. It would be an unbelievable super-fight that would get everybody excited"
