    FYI - as a promoter, Mayweather is also burdened with the costs associated with the fight like organization, promotion, fees and etc, that normally he would not have been as a fighter only. That being said, yes he would still have pocketed more money than just being a fighter. But then he is also susceptible to a much higher taxing rate (even considering tax breaks).

    Hm, interesting. Wasn't aware of that.. but I'm sure being your own promoter plus a fighter anyway you slice it should still equate to more money instead of just being a fighter. Only way I could see it not being good is if you spent to much money on promotion and the fight totally bombed but it is what it is...

    come on people these promoters been doing this for years have all sorts of education on this....all kind of smart people analyzing and projecting numbers.....no way they took a hit on this PPV...these numbers are great.
