Hermans managed to outbox Shields in the first minute dropping in jabs and evading as the American dove in trying right hands downstairs. Shields then walked her into the ropes and hurt her with a couple of overhands and Hermans spent the last thirty seconds running and clinching.

Round 2

Hermans again boxes well and makes Shields lunge and miss until running low on gas late. Shields bangs her with left hooks up top and corkscrew rights on the midriff and Hermans is scrambling. Another stolen for Shields.

Round 3

Hermans switches to southpaw, then orthodox, southpaw, constantly altering every few steps and extending jabs and 1-2s from outside into the forehead. Big swings and misses by Shields. Line drived up-jabs by Shields falling short. Body combo attempts caught on Hermans' elbows. Shields rushes her and lands some rabbit punches. Herman hurt but those were illegal. Big sailing windmilled right by Shields, stunning Hermans. A couple more chopping blows by Shields putting Hermans in the corner.
