Mark Taffet of HBO said the number for Pac-Rios is ending up at 475,000 buys and about $30million.

The number is lower than the half milliion mentioned and I'd say Taffet is a more reliable source than Arum.

Shocking to see the numbers low like this. Last time Pacquiao sold within the 400k range was Marquez II. I was expecting the numbers to be 600k-700k.

They are really bad numbers for a Pacquiao fight there is no denying that. the undercard didn't help there chances also it was on of the worst undercards I have seen. that's were GBP has the edge on Top Rank they always put on good undercards. those comparing it to the Floyd and Guerrero card it was never going to do better than that card because it was on a Mexican holiday and Floyd been the bigger PPV star but I expect that he is American After all and the PPV sales are based on buys in America and it had a really good undercard J'Leon Love vs. Gabriel Rosado , Leo Santa Cruz vs. Alexander Munoz and Daniel Ponce De Leon vs. Abner Mares.

floyd-guerrero flopped because it did not break even. 1k+ ppv was expected to at least break.

it\s widely acknowledged that showtime lost in the 10kk range.

whereas the pac-rios fight, bob and his crew knew the ppv numbers is going get affected with the fight being staged outside of the u.s. he has experiences with this in the past.

the fight was structured in a way that the fight is some sort of being guaranteed by venetian because they are expecting an uptick in gaming/gambling alone in the vicinity of 200kk.

it is commn knowledge by now, pac brings the high rollers from asia and venetian is capitalizing on that.

if you look at it from a point of view of profit/revenue, the event was still a success because everyone involved made money.

but the ppv buys, by pac standard sis low no question about that. but they already knew about this coming in, so they have structured it in a way that they wont too reliant on the u.s. ppv buys. plus, bob was seeding the china market. he knows pac is on his last legs.

Very surprising. I was expecting around 700K. I guess the public's perception of Pac changed dramatically ever since his KO loss. Floyd is so far ahead of Pac now in terms of star appeal it's not even funny. And that's just being objective.
