Foreman brought nothing to the table, nothing. The man had zero insight into boxing and often just argued with Merchant for the sake of disagreeing. Bottomline, anybody who says this is a moron:

"Tonight the referee is going to be the most important man in the ring besides the two fighters."

    Thank you George Madden.

Foreman brings nothing to the table. :huh Are you serious?:-(
Larry Merchant knows more about the sport than a former HYW CHAMPION.:dead

I like Foreman as comm. I also like RJJ. TBH, RJJ looks a very good analyser and a good speaker. With Foreman... he's mainly a good speaker.

The problem with Lewis, is that really he was neither. I mean, it was clear he knew boxing, problem is he really couldn't give valuable contributions. His boxing IQ is great, his speaking IQ, not so much.

    Doesn't a mongoose kill snakes?

I thought that was a pretty good analogy

Compare Jones's ensight to Foreman's, the difference is staggering. And yes, IMO Merchant clearly knows more about boxing than Foreman.

Not going to happen. Foreman is retired and enjoying his millions.

Foreman may have had weird analogies, but so did Merchant.

And no, Merchant has zero insight on boxing and was the biggest hater and most biased of the HBO crew. Now he's just senile.

George is a good guy, but he's far from being a great commentator. Tarver and Jones are better in my view.

Foreman wanted to move on from HBO after a decade of being with the network....... Foreman was tired of calling the HBO fights with Lampley and Merchant during his last year or so with HBO........

Foreman ain't coming back to HBO cuz he ain't interested in doing so......
