:rofl:rofl:rofli think that was him trying to make a catch phrase. it was just as corny as him playing a rasta in that filmatsch:rasta in media we were told about being succesful presenter IOC main thing is dont tell us whats happning, comment on the action (and the fighters) to the things we wouldnt usually know. when a guy is reeling we know he is hurt. rahman was almost punched into ringside. like we cant see whats happning. lennox sounds like he is talking to his mate on a phone whats happning lennox should be given some lessons. he knows what he wants to say but it's too buddy buddy not really informative big revert around this is one of the reasons why i like the joe tessatore & teddy atlas partnership. 2 guys from opposite parts of the sport to form a good mix of grittyness from atlas and smooth progression form tessatore? somthing i dont like about hbo is thats it's 2 suits and a boxer. has been for 2 decades. i dunno it's almost patronizing. cant really place my finger on it.
I saw him struggle badly with Gamboga. But goddamn Ali Funeca i mean Funinja i mean Fun!gga is his kryptonite.
Lennox- I'm here with my friend Vitali Spitko Vitali- It's Tsypko man. Lennox- Oh yes definitely. Vitali Spitko, top SMW fighter. Vitali- -sighs- Sip...ko. Vitali Sip...ko. Lennox- Vitali please, I don't need you trying to correct me. I got enough of guys like Ali Funegga calling me non-stop trying to pronounce his name. Cut me some slack you dick.
My favorite Lennox quote: "He keeps him from trying everything that he tries to try." Insightful and hilarious.
hahahaha good one. As for who I would like to see in there with HBO, I would have to go with Bernard Hopkins. On a side note, Al Bernstien is the most overated analyst in the biz. He calls landed punches wrong all the time. Something like "a beautiful right hand got so and so's attention" , when in actuallity it was a left hook.
He's OK. If he weren't a fighter I'd give him the boot, but sometimes it's just nice to see the champ on TV.
As someone who's done play by play, I can honestly say that calling the rights and lefts when it's live isn't the easiest thing in the world. I think Bernstein is mostly wrong when it comes to trying to get analytical. Sometimes he gets too in depth when the issue is simple. He also is amazingly dry as a commentator.
When Bute knock out Andrade : Was that a body punch or a head punch Where was he looking!?... at Bute's footwork ...or at ringside girls
NO! Of course not! Lennox Lewis is a great commentator. He has a very laid-back style, but I think that's just how he is. I like him. Whoever doesn't can kiss my *ss! There. I said it.
