I have a lot of respect for Lennox as a fighter but he's one of the worst commentators ever. He is AWFUL. He is dumb like a ****in cookie.
They really need to get Big George back, he was the best. Lennox, while one of my favorite heavyweights, is just plain terrible as a commentator. He points out really obvious things, says stupid crap, and is always stumbling all over himself trying to talk.
:good Joe Mesi is surprisingly good. So is Kevin Kelley, he'd be GREAT for that job. I personally don't mind Lennox. He used to be terrible, he's gotten better although makes general statements too much. Antonio Tarver is a good commentator as well.
Bring back Roy Jones...he actually gives insightful commentary on which shots a fighter is trying to set up, etc...Lewis is a caveman and Foreman would usually say the same stereotypical Boxer vs Puncher stuff or that body punches will take their toll in the later rounds.
People suggesting Foreman must've heard something different than me. This is the same guy who said a bunch of stupid things in the same broadcast right? I mean to suggest replacing Lennox with George is pretty much suggesting to replace a British accent with a Southern one.
I quite like Emmanuel Stewart commentating. I'd also like to see B-Hop given a go, never heard him commentate- but he always has something to say
Lennox is awful and should be replaced, but Foreman was equally horrible. His commentary in Hopkins/Trinidad was a disgrace. George also love to ask fighters to do the impossible or, at the minimum, something highly inadvisable. Lennox has improved slightly but is really awful, but at least he's funny. Sometimes I think he doesn't actually watch the fight. Jones is now slurring his words, so that wouldn't work. Tarver is doing well at Showtime. I agree on Kevin Kelley and think Steward is just fine as well, although he shouldn't be the person for every single fight. Kellerman has become very good, IMO, though Papa is mediocre. Fran Charles was much worse, however.
