We all know that the big fight is against Martinez, what does a rematch do for Lara ? nothing at all... he should just be matched up against Martinez and given the chance that he clearly earned last night.

I think Lara is the best choice for Martinez without a doubt, he proved it. I would like to see a Molina rematch for Lara as well, given what Molina did to Cintron especially.

It's not Williams they need to make an example of, it's the judges. They should refuse to televise any fight that those judges are assigned to.

Williams shouldn't be put in the ring with Sergio again, there's just no need for it. Lara shouldn't necessarily move up to 160 though - he should just be given the best opportunities at 154.

No don't put Lara against Sergio next. That's punishing both fighters lol. But give Lara Bundrage and then a high caliber fight after that. I could see him in the Mayweather/Pac opponent selections in the future

why would you want to punish Lara for a good showing, he's not
ready for Martinez. I think both telecasts (hbo and showtime) provide
an excellent segue to bring about a rematch between Carlos
Molina and Lara. both looked great against two former champions.

I don't understand how you arrive at the conclusion that he earned a shot at Martinez last night.

I dont think he should jump to 160... but he should be treated like the winner (because he was)...and offered another date vs a top guy at 154 for sure.

Why not Dzinzurik? Thats a pretty interesting fight.

[or the Molina rematch of course]

Lara deserves a good fight at 154. No need to go to 160. Martinez wins that easy. Lara is a tough customer at 154 for ANYBODY

Lara should fight K9 Bundrage next , then Canelo o Cotto along the way . ¿ What's the point in a " rematch " against Molina ? ( even though Molina looked real good against Cintron ) , ¿ Does he has a belt ?, I don't see how it can help Lara's career , specially after he proved himself so well against Williams . If you understand and apreciate boxing you can't fail to see that a fully focused Lara ( like the one that showed last night ) defeats Molina 9 out of 10 times , it's obvious , clearer than water , so there's is no point in rematching Molina now , maybe in the future when both have belts ( Molina sure looks like he will get one rather sooner than later ) then they should meet again .... not now . Lara should move on to more experienced and better oposition IMO . Peace .
