    :lol::rofl

    Fair enough. Hey I'm white but I appreciate good music as long as it's a quality recording and sounds nice on my Focal K2P UVs in my winter car. I can rock The Doors or go to work listening to Biggie, I just don't give a flying fvck personally.

    I can appreciate rap from the 80's and 90's, but lately I'm totally lost as far as the appeal of newer hip hop.:huh

    I remember Valuev's really cringeworthy entrance against Haye.

    Lighten up, you know what I'm talking about. When Americans see anyone close to Slavic, they think Soviet Union even now, have a sense of humor, this isn't the most serious thread..

    What you don't like Rocky 4 and Bond movies, you didn't play with GI Joes when you were a kid, you must be a very humorless person.
    GGG coming out with Rammstein playing in the background, dress in Soviet garb would be incredibly awesome:D:deal

    you must be Broner's public relations adviser and looking to expand.

    1. it wouldn't fit his image which happens to be a genuine reflection of his character and everyone would think him a pretentious, obnoxious, phony clown and pawn. he'd lose massive respect and admiration by diverting from 'serious business knockout artist'.

    2. i highly doubt he'd want to be associated with anything 'soviet' and very few would want to see that, maybe just you.

    Forget the whole actual Soviet thing, I referenced ambience in my post, the Slavic man of steel angle should be played up, GGG's power is scary, even though he's a good guy, he's frightening, HBO should push the scary badass angle, because that is what he and Kovalev are they are KO killing machines, they should market them hard that way, not so much the silly Drago thing, but a real sense of menace already exists with them, they can build on that with the right production and marketing although a little more modern day feel. Without losing their identity or making them look fake.

    triple G is already seen by most as formidable a fighter as they come so i don't think banging that drum louder or being overtly ostentatious is the way to go. i'd have him enter the ring to 'going the distance' from rocky 1. it would resonate, endear him in a new way (and vicariously less foreign) with the crowd, psyche them up... and later when they catch the irony it would be good for a laugh.

    :D It works too, although ironic humor is lost on most people, but anything is better than the White Stripes.:good

    How would this work, GGG coming out in a leather jacket and glasses. to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrmGnNo_DIU

    Hmm.

    Well Rammstein and Russian faux lesbian artists TATU got along great having done a number of collaborations if you're into that kinda thing.

    Yes and no. Obviously the GPW (the 'Eastern Front' as it's more often called by Western historians) put some strains on Soviet - German relations, but also gave the two countries a kinda of weird kinship and historical bond. Furthermore the historical ties between Imperial Russia and the German states go way into the past (Stieglitz, for instance - I think - is a descendent of the Volga Germans, one of several waves of immigration initiated by Catherine the Great in an attempt to 'Germanise', or 'modernise' her country)

    Never in the history of mankind have two states waged such a massive and mutually annihilatary war, and in both counties it's echoes reverberate to the present day.

    Incidentally, I think Kovalev's well aware of the marketing potential of playing the stone cold Russian machine already. - there's a 'Tube clip with Kovalev in a bar doing the Drago 'I must crush him' quote, cept he kinda fluffs it to 'I will kill him' which El Russo (Gradovich - who was introduced to Klimas by Kovalev, but speaks better English than Sergei) hastily corrects.
