if hbo are guna be tools and stop the better fights happening, then sure, give showtime the platform to atract the big numbers.

not saying that cotto v mayorga is one of those, but its ok on paper.

but what im talkin bout is this martinez b/s they doing to him and us.

they didnt even want martinez vs pirog,a title unfier!,and great styles, with fighters who are HBO known now aswell!.

OR...Top Rank could have honored HBO's request and made a HUGE fight with Cotto vs. Martinez, instead of this washed up "almost was", who no one gives a snow balls chance in hell of winning and makes for shitty TV.

HBO has been nut hugging the wrong fighters for a while now (IE: Berto etc.) its time they paid for it dearly. I honestly hope Showtime PPV is the place where Arum does all of his PPV and Championship bouts. Its about ttime Showtime (who seems to be concerned about quality vs. quanitity) were paid there due.

Or..Lou Dibella could have accepted Top Rank's proposal which would have given Martinez the biggest payday of his career (2.5 million + PPV upside).
