Nietes may still lack a single defining elite-level win but he now has Porpramook, Reveco, Moisés Fuentes, Chihuas Rodríguez, Raúl García Hirales and his brother Ramón, Sammy Gutiérrez, Jesús Silvestre, Dragoncito Rodríguez, and Édgar Sosa - and his only defeat was via split decision, in his sophomore year. Plus he shattered Flash Elorde's record as longest-reigning Filipino world champ (by four years!). That's a damn fine career.
