I've never rated Cuadras near as much as others seem to, and I guess I've had a higher opinion of Arroyo than others seem to. The way this fight's been going hasn't surprised me at all.

That is far more logical than your ‘superfluous’ argument, since if the second s is pronounced, it’s not superfluous. And since you quote no authority except yourself, you’re getting carpal tunnel for nothing.
