    I agree. In this climate where fighters seemed less inclined to just align themselves and concede vast amounts of influence over to a network, HBO needs to very careful with this.

    commit to Canelo when his mandatory is Triple G? i guess they know committing to fighting Golovkin is a no-brainer. he isn't going to do it.

    Imo they should show his June fight if they think it will be a good/entertaining fight. Don't show it if they don't think it will be good/entertaining. That's what I would do if I were in their position.

    Tyson fury = is in talks with HBO for future fights

    They're going through Stevenson-Fonfara all over again, I don't blame them. Sign, commit, guarantee, otherwise fukk off to the other network.

    Networks need to business-plan as well, you can't rationalize a 1-fight deal being a good investment if you don't have a foot in the door where that deal finally generates profit i.e. the Canelo fight, and Stevenson-Kovalev at the time of negotiating Stevenson-Fonfara.
