Which do you prefer and why. I personally prefer HBO. I feel like that showtime gives dull commentary no matter how exciting the fight is and Paulie Malignaggi, while he gives good insight on some fights,he doesnt handle himself professionally ( IDK something about him) Like Al bernstein though. Only one i have mixed feelings for on HBO is Roy Jones. I feel like his presentation is forced, and he doesnt really want to be there.

I think SHO has better commentators but I prefer HBO, they feel more natural to listen to somehow, hard to even explain why.

prefer hbo, mainly because the showtime announcer sounds like he should be doing pro wrestling matches.

Hearing the goofy **** HBO commentators say to take up space is funnier than the serious analysis of Showtime

i think hbo commentary is just classier, not that the commentators are classier, just the presentation.

Who would trade in Lampley going ape**** during Pac vs Clottey? or Merchant drunkenly stating "there is no joy in Sewato(?) this morning" after Pac stopped Ledwaba?

    Overall, HBO is better.

HBO: Jones and Lampley are excellent, but Kellerman is awful.

Showtime: Tarver was the best, Malignaggi and Bernstein are not too bad but I can't stand Farhood.

In the UK, Sky commentators overall are better than BoxNation. Rawling and his partner are awful, although Bunce is okay.

Lamps and Kellerman are great, but the presence of RJJ makes HBO commentary worse than white noise.

Overall I would go Showtime. Lampley's voice is great, it pretty much represents boxing. However, I never care for what he has to say. Pauli is the only one I am particularly fond of out of everybody. He is miles above Roy Jones

If I had to listen to Roy Jones say that Hopkins is just trying to get past the 8th round one more time, I was going to blow my brains out. "He is fighting smart, just trying to get past the 8th round." You mean a guy who hasn't had a knockout in a decade has the gameplan just to get to the 9th round, despite the fact that he is going to be down by 9 points with only 4 rounds to go (and he doesn't knock people out). "Hopkins has him right where he wants him." Holy ****
