Hbo has been the king of boxing for decades now. maybe even always. it seemed Showtime tried to make a move in recent years to try to change that. by creating new events, stealing pac man for a fight. but also i hav noticed a few mishaps, cancelled postponed fight like u dont really hear about happening on HBO. i wonder do people get to HBO and act differently, almost like well if its college i wont play wit a sprained ankle but if im in the NBA i will play. it just seems to me Show time fighters dont think its worth it to give their all like they would for HBO.

There is still no word from HBO or Showtime in terms of which network will be producing and distributing the Mayweather and Pacman fights. Is there a war going on and Sho is upping it's normal rights fee?Two new heads at each network may be in a pissing war.It should be interesting.:bart

    Showtime!

They give the hardcore fans that fight we want to see! Shobox to show us all the good up and comers, Undercards on Showtime Extreme now and quality cards in general. Yet HBO is wasting time with CHAVEZ!

Showtime was Hershman, changing of the guards big time. Seems like all that was wrong with HBO has been transplanted over at Showtime and all that was right with Showtime has been transplanted over at HBO. It'll take a year to really confirm, but that's my impression. In his interviews last week, Hershman wants to start a Shobox style program at HBO aswell as some other things. I wouldn't be suprised if Showbox turns into Golden Boy's/Haymon's Showbox - (two veterans Taylor & Dirrell get tune up fights...)

Similiar topic but what about comparing 24/7 series V Fight Camp 360?

Personally i think 24/7 is a far better production, better insight etc...

24/7 is much better. But remember, HBO has far more money than Showtime does, and HBO invests really well into their 24/7 series that covers Boxing and Hockey.

    I also noticed this.

This only used to happen on HBO.

I wonder if Showtime is slipping ...
