Which network do you guys enjoy watching fights on more? Whats each networks pro's and con's? Currently only have showtime but my satellite provider is offering me 50 percent off HBO for the next year as courtesy. What do you guys think?

Showtime is better and more knowledgeable in nearly every regard.

If they traded Paulie for Harold, their domination would be complete.

I’ve heard HBO has amazing presentation but other then that, their all biased towards one fighter and usually put **** fights. Sho seems to always keep me entertained with pay per view type fights for free

You have to have both in honesty, whatever you say about HBO,yes they have declined over the years, espically since they lost Mayweather in 2013,but they can still deliver top notch fights,Golvokin-Canelo,Ward-Kovalev,however Showtime has definitely taken the lead and have the best of American Talent, bar Crawford.

    HBO is a lot better

Max Kellerman, Roy Jones are infinitely more intelligent in terms of boxing than anyone on showtime. The only good thing showtime has going for them is Mauro Ranallo.

HBO traditionally has better stars and better fights. Just this year, they gave us Ward vs Kovalev and Golovkin vs Canelo. But then they committed suicide and banished most of their A-listers to ESPN (Pacquiao, Lomachenko, Crawford); so expect Showtime to become the go to network for boxing in the US. Haymon's PBC failed and now Showtime is picking over it's bones for top talent and doing better than ever.

As bad as HBO's commentators are, they are still better than everyone else. In order of competence it goes HBO, Showtime, Sky and Boxnation, then ESPN.

Oh, and Paulie is a zit that was never popped. Give me Roy Jones over him any day. You can do this up and down their line up. Man for man they are all superior. Jimmy Lennon Jr isn't half the announcer that Michael Buffer is. He's just not. I don't even know the analogs to Jim Lampley and Max Kellerman on Showtime they are such non-entities. Even Larry Merchant back in the day, drunken windbag that he was, was still better than the ****ing amateur hour presentations the other networks put on. Boxing commentating is a joke, but HBO has always been the least funny.

I love Shobox The Next Generation.

But if you call yourself a fan you need to have both

HBO to me is more "grimey". The overall atmosphere is darker which makes the fights better to me. Showtime has a more "colorful" presentation, plus the fact that Mauro Ritardo is a little too used to calling WWE fights. I prefer to watch fights on HBO, but if you want to see great fights, you got to have both.

I used to laugh at those who said Showtime was better or even in the same league as HBO, HELL even gaining some ground but I do not laugh so mych anymore. It is not so much that Showtime has improved all that much but HBO seems to be trying to kill their own product.

Lampley is now a company cuck who is cimplicent with all the A side corruption.

Buffer cannot read a card right anymore announcing the correct winner.

Max is a xenophobe who cucks for Americans and a certain Latin child of privilege.

They let the sports top P4P fighter walk to ESPN and now showcase the guys in his division that will not fight him.

    Who cares!

I like and watch both, sorry, but... this isn't an either or make your decision goddammit gun to your head predicament here, this isn't a torn between two political affiliations, two faiths, two nationalities or sexual preferences type deal, this is a completely irrelevant pointless discussion and annoying as ****, because we as true fans don't have to choose, we can love both.:D

I'm a fan of metal, does that bar me from listening to country or hip hop or pop?

As a fan of Horror does that mean I can't enjoy Action, Art house, Drama and Comedy?

Keep your knickers on, dude !

The OP asked which you preferred ?

    And it's not a catholic/protestant type of question or a rock/country choice.

They're both in the same business.

Where in the OP does he say you have to hate on one to like the other?

If you're asked which do you prefer, Pacino or De Niro, you can PREFER one without hating the other.

    The discussion is far from
