You don't have to KO someone to win a fight. Clean, effective punching to bust up the guys face is enough, & that is what Adamek demostrates, even as a HW. And with the movement that Adamek showed, he can make any HW look like a fool in there. Arreola never caught so much air in a fight in his entire career! That sounds like a solid fight plan to me.
I think people seriously underestimate Adamek. Adamek easily adapts to every opponent, thats why he looks vulnerable after each fight to next fighter who is different than the current opponent. For example, his first fight vs Golota ... people were questioning Adamek's HW power, cheen resistance and he finished Golota with speed and accurate counter punching. Then people were questioning whether he is able to beat someone more hunger, faster and skillful with better than Golota cheeeen ... so he outboxed comfortably Estrada. Then there was a question whether he can stand young, fast, superb strong and powerful puncher .. so he outsmarted and outfoxed Arreola. If you think Adamek will fight the same vs either Klitchko and you can simply extrapolate anything from his previous fights then you will be proved wrong. Adamek is fast enough, durable, and powerful enough to survive vs either Klit, steal the rounds and even catch either of them out of balance. He is smart and his cheeen is good.
LOl @ "Cheen" Adamek is a smart fighter, who can adjust, but I see Wlad and Vitali using their very potent jabs top keep Adamek at bay, the way Vitali did Arreola, the way Wlad did most of his recent opponents.
I would worry more about Haye who is very fast and his punches are knocking people out to the moon. Adamek sometimes is careless and trade too much, so he have to be cautious to the moment Haye collapses, after that Haye just stay collapsed. Wlad and Vitaly used their size in advantage and they easily adapts to their opponents as well, the difference is Vitaly is almost unbreakable but slower while Wlads is more vulnerable but faster and more skilled. Depends on the Klit flavor Adamek may use his speed to get close and either outbox Vitaly or bang with Wlad at short distance and then run away before they compose any serious attack. The difference between Adamek and previous Klit's opponents is his combination of speed, skills, power, cheen and durability, so Adamke may have an edge.
Yey and i had it even along with the Associated Press, also a couple posters here had it very close, Divac had Arreola winning. I dont see how you had Adamek winning such a wide decision, i know some of the rounds were close but no way was it a wide decision for Adamek. I can see having him ahead by 1 or 2, but anything more than 3 is crazy.
Adamek dictated the pace and commanded the action Adamek controlled the distance between the fighters Adamek scored with quick and sharp combinations Adamek was able to slip and sustain attack And needless to say Arreola's face looked like it ran into a bus, AND he admitted losing!!! End of story!
I'm lovin' this word!!! From now on at ESB, when anyone is talking about any fighters chin, I want it reffered to as... This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Anarci, i've seen your posts all over claiming it was a draw.. the only reason you say this is because you are Arreolas fan.. get over it.. Even Arreola himself said he got his ass wooped...
no way was Adamak handed picked to lose to Arreola. they cant be that stupid? was Arreola even a betting favorite for the fight?
adamek is such a pro. never panics, finds a way, comes in with a solid plan. but every man has his size limit. povetkin can get rid of at least one of the K2s and then we pretty much have a level field. let's say if pov or even haye punched wlad's ticket. then they would be highly regarded, and adamek's chances for a heavyweight title would be respected more highly. will adamek go along with what HBO want. or will he use the arreola fight as a stepping stone to a world title? i really think povetkin is the key to the new heavyweight era.
Good observation.:deal I was thinking of starting a thread "Is this the year of the "little guy", reffering to Pac, Adamek & even Matinez.
I respect Adamek as a great warrior, but I think such guys like Haye and Chambers are not comfortable for him.
