    Calderon KO1 Pavlik.

It's so obvious, I don't even have to justify it.

Jeff spoke loud and long about Hopkins beating Pavlik because BHop is such a great fighter. Now he calls Hopkins just some "senior citizen," and criticizes the loss. Jeff has zero credibility. I used to defend him when others attacked, but the truth is he is a biased hypocrite.

Oh okay. My first time chatting with Jeff, so I have to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Boo what's the plan for Kelly? Damn where is the rest of your crew at? I used to enjoy those crazy Pavlik - Williams threads.

Bute wins but Pavlik took big shots from Hopkins and Taylor and was not stopped. I think it goes 12

When was the last time Hopkins Kayoed anybody? And Taylor was able to drop and hurt him at 160...just not finish him. Bute drops him and hurts him...Bute finishes him.

Pavlik is a tough guy and Bute does hit hard most of his best wins are stoppages but I think Pavlik survives.

I hear you. Andrade is a tough guy also. I just don't think he can take the heat. No one ever hit him this hard. The speed is what would really hurt him imo. He wouldn't see the punches coming. Bute is a good body puncher also. This is not Espino,Rubio,Lockett were talking about. Bute is the real deal. from a boxing stand point his movement is very good.

The total number of times Pavlik was hurt by body shots is zero. However, the way Bute digs that left to the body is down right frightening. Nobody ever treated Zuniga or Andrade the way Lucian did.

Pavlik was still pretty green when he beat a better version of Zuniga than the version Bute fought.

Pavlik is far more skilled than Andrade. Librado hit Bute with right hands Pavlik would have hurt him with. Andrade missed opportunites Pavlik would have capatilized on.

Bute has the kind of mobility and hand speed that would give KP fits. Pavlik asserts the kind of intelligent pressure that would trouble Lucian.

I want to see Pavlik/Williams before I speculate to much on this fight. PW is a tall southpaw with reasonbly fast hands, so that fight would give us a few more clues.

Right now if I were to hazard a guess I'd say either Bute wins a pretty clear UD, or Pavlik scores a hail mary KO late in the fight.

Those who think KP is a walk in the park for Bute probably need to remember that Lucian Bute is no Bernard Hopkins, and Librado Andrade is no Kelly Pavlik.

Pavlik doesn't have intelligent pressure imo. Hopkins and even Taylor in the second fight showed you how to manuver around Kelly...He is pretty simple in that department.

Another thing, Williams and Bute are southpaws that's it. That Skinny Welterweight is not going to prepare Kelly for Bute...A natrual 168 pounder who watches his weight very closely.

We can argue on of lot of thing on this three fighter but i'm sure that Bute hit Harder then B-Hop and Taylor! B-Hop won fight with his mastermind but doesn't hit that hard.

Stop and think about what you just said. You are saying that a world champion pressure fighter, whose single greatest strength is the ability to apply constant pressure, isn't any good at applying pressure.

Pavlik certainly applies pressure more intelligently than Andadre. In the first fight Bute's problems came from Andrades pressure for 12 rounds. His last two fights ended in the 4th, so we have no idea if Lucian has truly solved the problem.

As fars as Pavlik/Williams providing additional clues to how a Bute/Pavlik fight might go down, think about this; the best southpaw on Kelly's record is a faded McKart -- still viable, but never an elite fighter, and most certainly faded.
