I wonder what would've been the outcome of this poll before KP's lost against Hopkins. A year ago, both those fighters were coming out of a tough fight after having been used to a almost perfect record. Bute's UD against Andrade had put a doubt in many people's mind so did the Hopkins schooling of KP. The fact that Bute is coming off a strong and decisive performance against Andrade gives him a momentum in the public opinion right now, the outcome of Pavlik's next fight might have the same kind of impact.

That said, I go for Bute UD right now.

He can apply pressure to Mckart,Rubio,Espino(i'm sure) Lockett, Miranda, Zuniga. But that is not intelligent pressure. When he had to apply intelligent pressure he could not. For Bute he would need to apply Intelligent pressure.

Yes as i said earlier the only comparison between Williams and Bute would be there stance and height...that's it. Bute would give much more intelligent movement then Williams is capable of at the moment. it's just different styles.

    Well thanks for posting.

also note that while both coming off of loses it's the way they each handled it that the public sees also. bute doing what he did in the rematch. The mindset he had, said he thought of andrade everyday. It was burning him.

On the other hand Pavlik did not win a rematch, nor does he even speak of one. He is trying to forget the Hopkins lost. Bute is learning from his. Then Pav fights a no hopper and pulls out of fights.

this is what the public sees also.

Pavlik his definetly a better Boxer then Andrade but it's hard to be thougher then Andrade!

I'm also agree with you with the 2 last fight of Bute we can't be sure if he will ever fade again in the last round but like Bute said in the press conference after the bout Andrade made him a better boxer!

Anyway Bute-Pavlik will be a really intersting fight!but will have to wait a couple of month before to know if it can be made!

that was another point of mine. Pavlik can not take what Andrade did for almost 12 rounds. Also Bute has improved since his lost, he came back and avenged it with a great Kayo. You can't bank on it happening again.

pav has given you no reason to say that. bhop hit him w/ everything he threw all night and hit him w/ the best he had for 12 rounds and pav didnt drop. bhop was raking pav over the coals and pav, to his credit, didnt quit when many others would have and did quit.

additionally, (and you can get a full rundown in wwm's thread titled "how good is pavlik really) pav's strengths would do him good against bute (doesnt mean he'd win of course). of all the flaws pav has, a solid jab and a huge straight right and the ability to throw them 100 times a round arent among them. bute has his right hand hanging below his waist and a good straight right is a good weapon to have against a southpaw. and as much as pav likes to pressure, he does like to control distance so he can use his jab and right hand. on saturday night, andrade wasnt trying to set anything up w/ the jab and came head first right into that absolute beauty of a left hand...and that is exactly what it was...a ****ing beauty. and...kelly doesnt gas and bute has before. who knows if he would have again on saturday had it gone that long. then again, when you conduct yourself like bute did, you don't have to worry about gassing.

there, that's what i got :D bute looked awesome. quick, strong...but i don't think pav is getting enough credit for what he brings to the table.

He has, but he doesn't say a lot publicly about potential opponents anyhow.

Bute is still a hype job. Pavlik would lose a bitmoving on up but still floor bute. bute got popped by andrade. a clean shot on him by pavlik put him down a few 10 counts

Well we don't know how durable Pavlik is at 168. And when was the last time B-Hop knocked anyone out? Pavlik's pressure would have to be effective, which i'm not sure he can do against Bute. Bute is faster and stronger then Hopkins and Taylor. Bute seemed to learn from his mistakes... has Kelly?

Yea how did i know. BUte only faces one dimensional fighters who come straight at him.. lol He would never fight a slickster like Green...

    And the running continues...........

i hear ya...and i guess were just gonna have to find out :good

but that was a viscious beating bhop gave pav and that was at 170 w/ bhop coming in a lot heavier than pav.

on a side note unrelated to what you posted...if you remember a lot of the buildup to pav/bhop was not only around whether bhop was going to get knocked out but how pav would deal w/ moving up...his response was usually..."i don't mind...all that means is i get to eat"...or "hey, at least i get to eat pasta", etc. i must have heard that half a dozen times. when he does move up for good (god willing after a williams fight) i would like to see him take a page out of bhop's book and get w/ a mackie shilstone type and become a true smw instead of just eating up from mw. (mini rant, sorry :D)
