First off IF Bradley continues to duck Khan and not agree to the fight after July 23rd date :

    The Television network HBO

and the sanctioning bodies WBC and WBO have a variety of options, depending on how deeply involved they want to get. Least ambitious would be simply to wait out

-which should not take too long, for Bradley will have no fights until after July 23rd, The agreement he has with HBO clearly states that his July fight must be one of four opponents Alexander rematch, Maidana, Berto or Khan. Since Berto just lost, Alexander rematch has no interest whatsoever given the farce that it was, Maidana has other plans with GBP there no is other choice but Khan. If HBO waits out, Bradley sits out and wont be fighting until the next date is confirmed. Less fights for Bradley means less money, less training camps and more ring rust for Bradley.

Most ambitious for HBO the WBC and WBO would be to undertake direct action by forcefully stripping Timothy Bradley of all his titles and HBO not airing any more of his fights and send Bradley back to Showtime

sanctioning bodies to not only strip Bradley of his titles but also remove Bradley from their rankings, The WBO/WBC could in turn induce HBO to limit the number of Bradley fights; and get Bradley to focus on agreeing to fight Khan. Or HBO and WBC/WBO it could impose financial penalties by the sanctioning bodies by massively increasing their sanctioning fees for Bradley and HBO reducing the amount is willing to pay for his fights massively, a promising tactic given Bradley's dire financial situation.

In no uncertain terms Bradley must be severely punished if he refuses to fight Khan, It is the fight that HBO wants, Its the fight the fans have always wanted, The ball if firmly in Bradleys court. Bradley must be told in no uncertain terms that the days of HBO dole outs and hand outs have ended for Bradley, Its now time for Bradley to match in the ring what he has been saying out of the ring about being number 1 in the division. In short the solution to making Bradley v Khan lies in the offices of HBO/WBC/WBO they simply need to cut of the Bradley life support machine if he is unable or unwilling to fight Khan.

How quickly the tides have turned

Khan wanted nothing to do with Bradley pre Maidana and took McCloskey in a bid to secure a low risk high purse fight instead of fighting Bradley , now all of a sudden Bradley makes a business decision (have to agree with you that the decision stinks , but these things have to be accepted in the modern sport) and now he should be banished from HBO and stripped of title's , for what ????

I too was very disappointed in Bradley. I thought he'd negotiate hard but eventually sign. He messed the fans about enough with Alexander and that was a stinker of a fight. Now he is messing the fans about with the Khan fight.

This is what happens when they get paid good money, they are scared to lose the 0 unless they are paid well. They think they are more than they are.

Khan found the best replacement fight, possibly more dangerous.

Bradley vs Maidana would keep the interest at 140.

Alex, Judah, Maidana, Khan and Bradley have the chance to earn ALOT of money with each other. As long as they come in shape, come to fight and fight often people will buy into it.

Unfortunately they are using each other as a quick route to the big time and 147.

I don't know if all this weight hopping for big fights is good or bad. We don't have many solid champs at the moment do we? I'm going off on a tangent now - au revoir.

Didn't even bother to read it once I saw the thread starter.

Every time Tanchico posts, Ray Parlour should reply.

The thing is, 147 is a fairly poor weightclass; Mayweather and Pacquiao apart. There are better fights at 140 for both men, and they could both move up in 2 years or so when they have cleared it out. Khan especially has only just scratched the surface at 140.

And yes, Tanchico deserves a constant Parlour.
