Round 5

Charlo is jabbing and moving, unhurried but with enough of a pace to stay ahead of Johnson. No wasted movements. Clinch, and Johnson tries to chop down at Charlo's head with a right hand but misses. Another chopping right and Johnson connects, but Charlo bends and rolls down with it. Jabs by Charlo stepping out, and he briefly turns southpaw to jab with the right. Johnson again chops with the right, from outside this time, and slashes down through the air as Charlo ducks to one side. Charlo ducks and counters again with a nice body shot as Johnson closes in.

Round 6

Charlo is using more full-body ducks to swoop in from underneath and hook the body of Johnson after slipping his jabs. Charlo navigates around him in short circles and pumps the jab. Charlo now works in a lead uppercut from outside, between the forearms. Johnson trots after him, hands still up responsibly, defending as best he can and putting out a straight and steady jab but simply outclassed athletically. Charlo is tapped by a couple of short chops to the back of the head while ducking in front of Johnson but shimmies away with a counter jab in his wake.

Round 7

Charlo is opening up more, letting go with power combos. Hooks and looping rights drive Johnson back. Some rough stuff, an arm drag/judo toss, and a point deduction from Johnson.

Round 8

Charlo is putting out stern lead rights and catching Johnson before he can react by squeezing his fists together. Johnson's head snaps back as he's forced to give up the role of aggressor. Big left hooks to the body by Charlo coming forward. Morning-star looping right up top by Charlo. Johnson blocks what he can and chops back at Charlo, dropping short rights to the head as they come together into a clinch. Charlo ducks a wild right hand and leans into Johnson. Jab and cross by Charlo.

Round 9

Charlo is snapping his jab into Johnson's face, doubled up, followed by a right. Charlo is growing less cautious, slapping down with right hands and following with push-broom left hooks on the front foot. Quick 1-2 by Charlo taking a step back as Johnson dives in headfirst and swings to the body. Johnson continues to slug low, not able to get more than a touch or two in before Charlo has gotten off a counter or four.

Yeah, and he doesn't even really sit on his shots at this stage of his career.

 

Round 10

Charlo is ducking in and letting Johnson swat down at his head and miss as he sways to either side. Charlo straightens up and trains his jab on Johnson's face. Chopping right by Johnson diving in, ducked. Clinch. Fatty is in there quick. Charlo easily dodges a wild overhand right by kicking his rear foot behind and to the right and then letting his upper body melt along after it. Jabs by Charlo as Johnson keeps slashing his way hopelessly forward.
