HBO were terrible!!! How did Lederman score round 10 for Lara?

So while Paul Williams is hitting arms, gloves etc. Lara is throwing shots that hit face, body etc. Cleaner more effective punches came from Lara.

Bad choice of words on my part about the slapping thing I will admit. He doesn't slap but his punches had really no effect on Lara

 

just blame HBO for everything. Blame the announcers for having bias in Lara favor. Blame HBO for the scorecards that gave Williams, not Lara, the fight. Yea, that makes sense. :verysad

 

Bias in Lara's favor. :rofl 2/3 of them WANTED Paul to win, desperately. (Jones wore it on his sleeve, and Kellerman only made the most perfunctory attempt to disguise it).

So, you're giving Williams credit for punches that Lara blocked? Fights are scored on ring generalship, defence, effective aggression and clean punches - not punching your opponent on the arms or gloves. You also don't get points for "work-rate", your punches have to actually land and be effective.

 

i literally stopped scoring this fight because of how badly p-dub was getting beat, ridiculous.

 

Kellerman was ridiculous in asking Peterson whether Williams would retire, while the fight was in what, the 9th round? WTF was that?

The problem with last night fight is that Lederman and the HBO crew were scoring it with the Martinez fight in their head. You can't do that. I had Lara winning the first two clearly and Williams winning the next 4 clearly, but after 6round they were still talking like Lara was dominating and how he didnt adjust frome the last fight and blablabla.... While Williams was ahead on my card and while it was a draw on Lederman's.

I also had the 10 round for Williams, like the TS, and like everyone the 12. I had it a draw like one of the judges, so i don't call it a robbery. I'd also add that I'm not surprised by the decision. Lara was fighting the kind of fight that Martinez fought, where the goal is to KO the other guy. Martinez did it, but lost the first round on the judges card... Even if some of his big left landed. Lara couldn't kd or ko Paul and he should've follow with some combinations after these big left he landed. THAT would've reflected more on the judges cards who weren't listening to the HBO crew I remind you.

My pointis, when you go for the KO you open the door for the other guy to win the decision. Williams did some damage on the inside last night with good body shots and he didn't get praised enough for it. I had the fight a draw, so let's hope for a rematch!

 

Williams is the one who brought up retirement talk after his last loss.

 

I can't believe there are actually people attempting to defend watching the equivalent of a bank robbery happening right in front of their faces.

There's no way paul won more than 5 rounds, I felt I was being absolutely generous giving Paul 3 out of the first 6 rounds.

I didn't see him win a single round after that.

C'mon... Lara clearly won that fight. I found it difficult to give Williams anything. The man was getting hit flush over and over every round. Williams workrate amounted to nothing and he didn't do any damage what-so-ever, outside of the headbutt which caused the hematoma.

Even if you watched the fight with the intention of giving Williams rounds you couldn't give him that many.
