It was a straight up azz whoopin', dude. Amir Khan had big name support in Thurman, Ortiz, and Mares.

Bradley had next to no support in Chaves and the undercards were names that only the diehard boxing fans know about: Lee, Korobov, Herrera, and Benevidez?

Honestly decent numbers by both networks for a H2H like that. The takeaway here should really be that there were approx 1.7-1.8 million people tuning in for paid boxing programming.

Both cards had quality fights and people tuned in. This is good.

Maybe Khan, Thurman, Ortiz?, and Mares aren't as big of names people make them out to be.

Ortiz was the designated Golden Boy and has been in a Floyd PPV.

Mares is a popular Mexican fighter and has been in a Floyd PPV.

Thurman's not as popular as Ortiz or Mares, but his name and reputation as a KO artist has been gaining traction.

Face it, HBO did more w/ way less.

very few people in The States care about Khan. A lot of empty seats in the arena for that fight also.

In the states? Is he that popular even in Europe? Khan seems to think he has a fan base like Hatton had or Froch has.

i switched back and forth but i watched hbo more.

i only watched a round of that thurman running around the ring ****. i only switched to check if it was done.

...and when bradley-chaves fight started to get more exciting than khan-alexander, i stayed there. hbo fights were definitely more entertaining.

I downloaded the HBO and Showtime app, HBO app like 6 million downloads, Showtime had 1 million. That puts things into perspective for how many subscriptions there are. Meaning most Showtime subscriptions are for boxing.

Why does this matter to all these Pacquiao fans anyways? Oh that's right, Floyd is on Showtime and Pacquiao is on HBO. Next thing you know, Pacquiao nerds will singing praise about Nike being better than Adidas.

Let's face it - 99% of the subscribers for both networks do it for the shows.

Lol sure, you're pulling numbers out of your ass. This is a boxing thread, not a network thread. I can't believe you guys are so fixed on Pacquiao that you're arguing over networks now.
