Rigo has one fight left on his contract. But I have a suspicion TR might offer to cut him loose since I believe Rigo is guaranteed more than TR can earn with him off HBO/Showtime.

Hopefully they'll find him some bigger name for the next fight, but by the looks of the situation it's hardly going to happen. It would be really upsetting not to see him on HBO.

Why are people overlooking the fact that its hard making fights for Rigo because the money isn't there? Who would fight him for a small purse with a high chance of a lost? They would rather fight someone for more money with a higher percentage of a win. It would be different if Rigo was some huge PPV draw were other boxers are calling him out cause the money is so great but this is not the case.

That was as much Agbeko's fault as it was Rigo's.

I thought Rigo vs Donaire was exciting as hell.

Thus far nobody has forced him to show any heart because he picks them apart easily and takes very few punches back in return. He's just too damn good for his own good.

Arturo Gatti had to show heart pretty much every time out because relatively speaking his boxing skills sucked, and most fans loved watching him fight. I'm in the minority, but I'd much rather watch a guy like Rigondeaux put on beautiful boxing displays and be in full control for every minute of every round. What he does is amazing to me because I could never do it. There are literally millions of tough guys in the world with "heart" who can take punches to the head, but there are very, very few who can make elite, top 10 P4P boxers look completely helpless in the ring.

Make the ring smaller, force him to fight, people will watch.

    It's that simple.

They shouldn't make the ring the size of a football field. Rigo would have MORE knockouts if he actually had to fight. You create too much space, it becomes one guy doing just enough to win.

Imagine if every fighter fought like Rigo. Boxing would be unwatchable.

Man this sucks, I feel like there are decent fights out there for Rigo! It's sad that he would have a more successful career if he was less skilled.

Goldenboy is on record wanting nothing to do with him. Have him stink out the joint and beat their entertaining fighters by running and potshotting? they arent letting that happen.

you got a surprise coming if you think Lomo is anymore exciting than rigo.

What incentive do any of those guys have for fighting rigo when the fight wont even be televised??

Somehow I doubt Lomo's last fight was as boring as Rigo's.
