HBO will only approve Wlad/Haye for July 11, not interested in Chagaev as replacement

I really just think they want Haye vs Wlad.

    All I can say is....GOOD.

Wlad needs to stop trying to get out of fighting the Hayemaker. :deal

    3 Weeks.

They are over the bloody moon that Haye pulled out.

They are afraid of Haye and would rather see Wlad in another easy fight with no danger. :-(

Mot of any Wlad fight is boring.
But this one is intersting as Chagaev is a top HW aswell.
    PS:I don't care what you ***s do.

I'm a bit surprised, and it's certainly not what Bernd Boente would be expecting.

His attitude was that HBO might lose interest in Haye now and would be happy to go with anyone else just to keep the June 20th date. If Raphael is right, it seems that HBO are instead actually willing to give Haye rope to make sure this fight happens and won't just follow along with whatever Boente wants.

Interesting situation, some power play going on here.

Actually I want to see Wlad fight a guy with a Chin that won't get KTFO the first time he gets hit.

Chagaev is higher ranked and brings much more to the table than Haye.

Boente will just go to ESPN like he did when HBO was not interested in showing the Klitschko-Gomez fight.

Wlad should give the middle finger to both HBO and Haye.

bullplop. booth said '3 or 4 weeks' which is it? they don't know. sounded like damage control. Klit should ask for a guarantee from Haye and if he pulls out again, he gets put in the Tower of London.

Sure enough. It's entirely possible that HBO saw the hype and the intrigue around Haye/Wlad and are trying to find a way to keep that alive.

I'm sure if HBO was presented Wlad vs Chag pre-Haye, they'd jump all over it. My guess is still that they feel Haye presents a better opportunity for a ratings grab.

I would like to see David Haye fight a few more Heavies before he steps into fight Klitschko. I hope Klitschko takes up the fight with Chagaev.
