HBO will only approve Wlad/Haye for July 11, not interested in Chagaev as replacement

You answered your own question. if Wlad beats Chagaev that forces Valuev to fight him or disappear from Boxing, either of which I'd like to see.

Chagaev brings nothing but an easy win for Wlad. A true fan would want the Haye/Wlad fight.:deal

Who cares if Haye hasn't fought the highest rated contenders! They're all fat bums mostly nowdays anyway, so what's the problem?

Well I gotta say, I'm wet in anticipation at the thought of that ... a chagaev and a Valuev fight?

This is exactly the **** that has turned people off the HW scene. There is a reason that Haye v Wlad was going to sell out a 60,000 seat stadium and it wasn't Wlad.

    Find another sport eh?

Fighting a guy with a bogus paper title, which is not even that, its an 'in recess' trinket, who poses no stylistic threat, is just the start of it.

But this is a guy who has JUST FAILED A MEDICAL, so I'm not sure why everybody else is just disregarding that, and a man who has pulled out of loads of fights and not been healthy for years. Not to mention looking **** when he has managed to get in the ring.

Its a fight that HBO will pass on, so clearly that is good for boxing, and its such a great matchup:patsch they dont even want it.

Alternatively, a huge fight, that everybody wants, biggest HW fight for years and years, global appeal. And the price for this extravaganza to come off? Three weeks. They should postpone this without a shadow of debate, if Haye and HBO are willing, then there is no excuse. Its simply too big to pass over for a stay busy fight against a hepatitis sufferer who nobody wants to see. Too much on an anticlimax.

If Wlad gets rid of another titleholder many people don't know about, doesn't it make the Haye fight that much bigger since it'd be for the Ring championship? In the meantime, give Haye another win, and all the sudden, Wlad-Haye has that much more momentum going for it.

There wouldn't be any unification, but it would be for the Ring belt. If Wlad won, the "champion in recess" position would just disappear, Wlad wouldn't assume it.
