    The Bernard-Pascal fights were very entertaining, and that's the only reason they probably opted to make Hopkins-Dawson a PPV event. But that one had disaster written all over it from the beginning! :lol:

    I bought it as well, as I hadn't missed a Bernard Hopkins fight since prior to the 2001 middleweight tournament.

    But I wish I hadn't.

    Golovkins english is still **** poor. waste of time to have a face off when the guy cant even express himself properly. he should use a translator but for some misguided reason choses not to. Then again we would have never heard gems like 'good boy big drama show mexican style' otherwise. lol :patsch

    Wlad-Fury isn't on US PPV, so they probably figured that would be a sunk cost. (Although I don't personally see it that way necessarily).

    Because you won't learn a foreign language if you don't practice.

    What do you think would connect with the American fanbase more? A dude trying to speak english or having to listen to a translator. I hate listening to translators. And exactly, I think it's funny when a person struggles with english and it's sweet when someone wants to learn it to connect to fans better.

    Yeah you dont practise a foreign language that you dont even grasp the basics of live on international tv. I know why he does it but he's fairly hopeless to be honest and in a face off well it will just be a lot of grinning and looking stupid all round. I would prefer a translator when he speaks to Kellerman at the end of the fight, so we could actually understand wtf he is trying to say but thats just me. :hi:
