It was a terrible performance, he lost every round and then got KO'd. It's a world title shot, pinnacle of a boxer's career and he never really gave it a go or tried to hurt Stevenson. That's my opinion anyway, i hope Tony bounces back and eventually wins a World Title because it's obvious he absolutely lives and breathes the sport but i doubt he'll win a title against any of the current crop of World Champs.

Jim Watt said it perfectly, Bomber had nothing going into the fight to take confidence from. His two eliminator a were stinkers, and in his previous title challenge came up short against Cleverly(I thought Bellew won) and Cleverly just got bombed out.

Tonys not a gifted fighter, but one that gives everything he has in every training session, and is where he is because of his attitude.
When you have will, against will, skill and lights out power, there's only ever going to be one winner.
Tony tried to box behind the jab, the only way he had any chance, but Stevenson was more elusive than anyone had seen before, certainly than I'd seen.
I thought he was power and quickness and not much else, but he's the real deal.
REALLY hope him and Kovelev get it on

He was up against it from the start Stevenson a level above him TBH he had a game plan to box on the back foot & frustrate him but after the first four rounds it was obvious what the outcome would be.

Stevenson v Kovalev is a fight everyone would love to see but even though they were on the same HBO show it's going to take serious money to get them together.
