its all talk from Greenburg and HBO. Taking credit for making Khan vs Maidana, thats bull****. The WBA made this fight.

Ross Greenburg (2007): “We intend to dig our feet in a little more on mismatches and not give in to promoters, managers, and fighters who don’t want to take a risk.”

Ross Greenburg (2008.) “This year, if a fighter wants to be on HBO, we’ll expect him to go in tough.”

Ross Greenburg (2009): “This year, we intend to televise the best fighters in meaningful competitive fights.”

Still they payed Andre Berto $3million this year to fight Carlos Quintana and Freddy Hernandez.

 

So are they showing the **** weak wank mismatch Khan vs Maidana? Khan needs better fights than this. Hopefully once he gets it out of the way he can move into a better class.

Good job they did. Boxing is gettnig silly. The best should fight the best, come in shape and come to fight. Let the chips fall where they may.

 

Seeing as the backdrop is more important than the quality of the actual fight and HBO seem to like to keep the subject matter relatively recent.

I'd like to see a De La Hoya-Vargas episode as well, two huge Latin American stars who had known each other since the amateurs and genuinely hated each other.

What about Taylor/Pavlik I?

Good build up, exciting fight, Pavlik has got an interesting enough story I think, Taylor is a really likeable guy.
