Deliberately taking the Carl Froch quote out of context in the manner that they did was shameful. I think it speaks volumes about what HBO *really* thinks of Triple Duck when they resort to intentionally misleading their viewing audience to promote Golovkin and stonewalling a potential matchup with Ward. Thoughts?
Yeah they're trying to make it seem like an old school warrior like froch is scared of ggg. Ridiculous
Trying to provoke Froch. Eddie Hearn already tweeted that there wasn't "enough money" for that fight yet, that was about 6-7 hours ago. Froch might take offense but I don't think fast car Eddie will make that fight over DeGale or Chavez Jr.
Froch actually pulled them in decent ratings for the afternoon, they should be a little more grateful, and not shame and provoke the fighters that are actually willing to fight for them, that was real ***** move on HBO's part.
What's fu cked up about it for me is that they insult the intelligence of a great number of people who know better. Statements like that just really shines a light on what they think of the many fans that watch boxing. I know Roy Jones wouldn't have let them run that **** without speaking on it. Carl Froch's hand should have just came from nowhere and slapped the **** outa both of them. They are turning boxing into some side show circus type **** and I resent it. It's entertainment but it's also serious business and shouldn't be advanced in that manner.
Seemed like Froch was laying on the sarcasm pretty thick when he said that. That's what i thought the first time I watched it.
Triple duck?, who is he ducking?. Please don't tell me you're another ****** that's saying a Middleweight is ducking Super Middleweights and Light Heavyweights.
To be fair to the HBO announcers they basically just quoted Carl Froch. Froch looked like he meant what he said regarding GGG's power. Groves was more dismissive of GGG figuring he is a bit undersized for Supermiddleweight and I agree, GGG looks like a middleweight and should get all the titles and then defend them. Ward would manhandle the much smaller man and the fight would prove nothing except a good big man beats a good little man.
Him being sarcastic doesnt really make sense in the tone of the wholle interview even after he says it george says hed be smaller and then carl says thats actually a good point
