He talked smack because Ward started the trash talking and I'm a fan of both fighters.

Ward was fishing for a money fight. We all know he is desperate and has a big ego.
Dont run around saying that everyone is ducking you and you are willing to fight from 154 to 168 if you are not really up to it, be it because of the money or other reasons.

Fact is that Ward would be Golovkins biggest fight to date and vice versa i believe. ****, Rodriguez, a relative unknown made slightly more that Golovkin made against Geale.

Golovkins team sees Ward as too big of a threat, thats why they wanted the Chavez Jr fight at 168 but not Ward. More money for lesser risk.

Ward has a stacked resume, you telling me that GGG at this moment in time is better than all of the names on Ward's resume?

everyone knows HBO is struggling with Marquee fighters so of course they were going to blow GGG, Hamed got the same when faced Kevin Kelly (at least Hamed beat a top fighter in Tom Johnson and Medina).

There are several fighters out there who would beat GGG i think any knowledgable fan knows this but I dont think HBO are right when they say he is the most entertaining fighter (others are froch and Pacman). good luck to GGG

for the record , FROCH, WARD, MAyweather,Kessler or any fighter with a top inside game.

Golovkin is onlyu effective at distance....a bit like Tszyu.

I watched the tape. If you choose to say he was being sarcastic it's all in the eye of the beholder.

I saw a guy saying those exact words, giving a nervous laugh and the interviewer calling it "a rare bit of honesty" or something like that. Froch didn't jump in and try to correct him and say he was only joking.

Max explained the context of the question.

What's there to be butthurt over?

Can't even listen to them speak it's so disgusting that I usually turn the volume down.
The problem is they have far too many non-athletic non-boxing Khazars on the mike who dksab but are very good in creating hyperbole and false impressions.

If Ward really wanted the fight, why didn't he drop to 160 then ? Now if his team still says no, THAT'S a duck.

HBO's bias reaching an all-time high could be quite something.

    Fights like:

Julio Cesar Chavez-Meldrick Taylor 1: My gawd they were pro-Taylor, although SRL was somewhat more insightful and neutral and pointed out the effects of Chavez's punches. The worst was in the 10th when after a great Taylor combo, Chavez slipped the rest of the punches and Lampley goes "Chavez is on the verge of going down!"

Numerous M.A. Barrera fights. This wasn't Lampley being an HBO shill, this was his man-love for Barrera. Lampley also had man-love for Cotto.

George Foreman during both De La Hoya-Quartey and Trinidad-Hopkins.

Lampley: There are no signs that Hopkins is wearing down.

Foreman: Oh yes there are a lot of signs!! Too many signs!

    Lampley: What are the signs?

Foreman: Hopkins went to his corner and laid his legs flat out, Trinidad is still sitting in a sitting position.

Meanwhile, Hopkins blocks about 10 straight left hooks and then lands several clean short punches.

They're shameless.....even during the fight they get loud with their commentating trying to influence the Ref to deduct points and the
    Judges as well.
Lampley will even repeat himself louder to ensure his point was made...!

Kellerman: GGG punches so hard, that if he punched my girlfriend in the face right infront of me, then I guess my girlfriend just got punched in the face right in front of me.

I thought his trainer said he would fight any fighter between 154 and 175?

HBO has been like this for a while. I don't like Merchant's slow ass commentating and I don't like Lampley.
