I think they should bring this mini-docu series back to screens. I've got them on DVD and it's great viewing. It's fascincating, insightful and I personally learned a lot. I think the last one they made was Lewis v Tyson. Think of how many great events and great fights there has been since. What fights would you like to see a mini-docu on (since Lewis v Tyson)
Here is a couple I'd like to see. The Tale of Gatti This content is protected Ward Trilogy The Tale of Mosley This content is protected De La Hoya The Tale of Klitschko This content is protected Sanders The Tale of Morales This content is protected Barrera Trilogy The Tale of Paquiao This content is protected Marquez The Tale of Cotto This content is protected Margarito The Tale of Mayweather This content is protected Castillo
Gatti/Ward and Barrera/Morales are the obvious choices. Both would be excellent. This series was excellent. Chavez/Taylor was particularly good.
Showtime had a legendary Night's type deal for this fight... it's call "The Trilogy" anyone watch this? The showed the entire trilogy, Mixed in with commentary from any and everyone involved including Rafa & Israel. They show it on Showtime once in a while. (I've seen it replayed a couple of times already)
Klitschko-Lewis Barrera-Morales Gatti-Ward Taylor-Pavlik Margarito-Cotto De La Hoya-Mayweather ( just cause of the success and drama behind the fight not for the actual fight itself) Mayweather-Castillo Toney-Jirov Hopkins-De La hoya Hopkins-Tarver Hopkins Taylor Pac-Morales not all of those are the best possible just thinking off the top of my head
Margorito vs Cotto Pacquiao vs Marquez 1,2 Mayweather vs Hatton Cotto vs Mosley Calzaghe vs Kessler Pavlik vs Taylor 1,2 Mayweather vs De La Hoya Mayweather vs Judah Pacquiao vs Morales Trilogy Pacquiao vs Barrerra Trilogy Jones vs Tarver Trilogy Taylor vs Hopkins 1,2 Mayweather vs Gatti Coralles vs Castillo 1,2 Mayweather vs JL Castillo Mayweather vs Corrales
It will be back in January of 2009 it was supposed to be back this Fall but was delayed for production. They have not said what fights were going to be covered but I believe the number was 6 more episodes. It was a great series.
You lot in the States will be lucky then, I'll need to watch it on youtube or by it from a boxing site some day :-(
