:admin First time in years that HBO actually posts DLH's pre-fight weight. And there is no way in hell he came in at 147.
that alone gives you an idea how far they would go just to make it seem like the fight is legit in terms of size.
Uh-huh. You just keep believing in the mantra. Oscar has weighed well over the limit for many years, and that is why they have steadfastly refused to publish his pre-right weight for an equivalent period of time. They used to post his weight on fight night. Conveniently the first time they do it again is for a fight against a much smaller man. I'd wager he is at least 10 pounds heavier than Pacman - maybe 15. :yep
No! You mean HBO has a disgustingly biased pro-Hoya agenda???? Whudda guessed? Poor Jim Lampley. He has probably had nightmares ever since. Good on the visibly smaller Pacman for utterly destroying the Golden One - twisted stats or not. :yep
I'm pretty sure Roach would say something, don't you? Being a trainer who'll do ANYTHING for his man... No offence but I'll take Roach's word over yours anyday. Unless you're Steve Bunce of course....
The only thing that enzo proved is that they made PAC smaller. Yet, his entire argument is that they made Oscar smaller. :nut I am glad you guys aren't in the field of criminal investigation... you are backwards as hell. Explain to me... what would HBO even gain by doing any of this? Exactly what would changing some weight, height, or arm length stats due for them when showing the tale of the tape directly before the ring entrance? Also, explain this.... why would HBO's 24/7 series and every other promotion that they put out highlight the fact that Pac was the smaller man, moving up to face the much bigger man who was even coming down in weight? Most of the angle and intrigue in this fight WAS the size difference, which is why they called it the "Dream Match". They would liken it to playing a video game, and that being the only way that you would be able to see a fight like that, due to the size difference... and now Manny was moving up, Oscar was moving down... and the fans would get to see a "Dream Match". Every single time that they talked about the key points to victory... they would talk about Oscar's HUGE size advantage... which other than Height.. he never even had. If anything, I think that they OVER SOLD the size difference, when there wasn't much of a story there.
I've already given my opinion. Your theory has been crapped all over by STITCH, aswell as shooting yourself in the foot by posting pics that show, as WiDDoW said, that they made Pac smaller.
Then do you agree that oscar only has a 1 inch reach advantage looking at this pic? This content is protected Do you have any idea why they showed Oscar's fight weight? they don't usually do that you know? Like i said they tried to make the size difference closer... now weather it's Oscar's or Pac's it doesn't matter. What they did is lower pac's data so that they wont have to adjust oscar's previous stats against PBF another smaller fighter going up in wieght against oscar. It's impossible that a fight night reach would shrink. I'd like to see Oscar's TALE of the TAPE against hopkins or Mayorga. :good
And I'll take a long legacy of an aging fighter weighing well over anything approaching 147 as my cue. Look at those two men again and tell me they are truly within a couple of pounds of one another. :rofl I really could care less. Hoya got his ass smoked by a considerably smaller man, after fighting at 154 and 160 for close to eight years - with actual pre-fight weights likely upwards of 165-170 lbs during that period of time. Sadly, Oscar started to refuse to let them publish those pre-fight numbers because it would have tarnished his "image", lol. Anyone who really believes he weighed 147 at the bell has rocks for brains, no offence.
Enzo just want to share this thought.... because many haters considers him as a weight drained fighter that night. Enzo has a point also, we don't know if there are underhand doings with the stats. They suppose to show the accurate ones. Even Freddie wonder how Pac lost 3lbs for only 5mins before weight in. Freddie and his team checked Pac as 145lbs before the weight in but on the scale HBO used they only got 142. This issue may be worthless to others since Pac already won, but truthfully, its not bad to discuss something that has logic in it. At least Enzo shows proof on what his topic all about, unlike some haters who just says anything but can't back it up even just a little.
