Floyd is lucky the judges have always seen it his way. The Reggie sanders or whatever fight could have easily been two rounds to two (mediocre southpaw) and there have been worse cards than scoring this fight a draw since floyd was extremely inactive early. Castillo two could actually be a draw; I didn't give floyd as many rounds as the first fight because I felt his pot shotting was not as effective as his pocket work against the ropes in the first fight. Also floyd deserved a knock down in the first fight from a body jab. A blind judge might have been swayed by oscar's flurries. So yeah, floyd is lucky. Morales isn't. He never got the benefit of the doubt though I think he beat Diaz and madaina and was winning against Garcia before the open scoring made him get reckless and get knocked down... Floyd- lucky. Morales - only lucky in Barrera I

    Lost twice now.

    Mayweather [230/426, 53%]
    Maidana [221/858, 25%]

Based on those numbers alone, how can Maidana lose? They both land the same amount of clean punches but Maidana lands an extra 400 partially blocked. I'm sorry but throwing a punch and having it partially blocked does more damage than simply blocking a shot. Judges basically ignored the work rate.

If we're scoring based on who does more damage, its obvious the guy who was throwing does more damage.

    221 vs 230

In a fight would you rather land 20 punches or get hit by 19 punches and get hit by 19 extra punches that you partially block?

So every one of those 400 punches that didn't land were "partially blocked" and none missed completely? How ****ing high were you last night? :blood

also, there was a round where Maidana outlanded Floyd 20 to 8. You can't count on punch stats to declare a winner if you also don't break down the punch stats round by round.

it's like, hypothetically, Maidana landed 100 punches in the 1st round and proceeds to hit air the rest of the night. Floyd lands only 90 punches, but it's spread throughout the rounds. Would you say Maidana won cuz he landed more?
