Floyd's fight made Floyd look bad.

Floyd was hiding from Oscar's hook all night.
Pac showed little respect for Oscar and looked great. He did the same to Margarito. He didn't run like I thought he would. Pac did it to both!

    I like his book.

Even a politically correct guy like Oscar, who plays careful for the media, admits that there's a Black style!

The part about his first fight with Chavez was good too. He mentioned how lots of Mexicans are ignorantly in love with the Mexican style, but he preferred the sweet science stuff.

I never said Oscar didn't land. I don't think Floyd's had a fight in his career where the opponent didn't "land" something. But Oscar missed a hell of a lot and Floyd landed more, and was more accurate which is why he won and the scores shouldn't have been that close.

Oscar won most of his rounds due to the fact that he forced the action and tried to initiate the action, whereas Floyd spent a lot of time doing **** all but sit on the ropes.

Look I think it was a close fight, you don't. There's nowt much more to say really.

He was 34 years old the same age Floyd will be in 3 months so we might as well not attempt to make the fight since Floyd is going to be old and shot too.

I'm just saying it was the respect Floyd gave to DLH that made the fight look so close. Floyd didn't know DLH couldn't tee off like he once could. Floyd could have done a number on DLH if he went in there like he did against Mosley.

Yeah Oscar was forcing action and getting tagged

even though the crowd, and the HBO crew seemed to completely ignore that fact.

If you think it was close just say that then...but you were saying stuff like "oh it was a close fight, look at Floyd's face":good

Oh I see what you're saying. From Mexican side over to black.
I was thinking black side over to Mexican.

They can both be put in that border area where the two styles blend. But I agree DLH was the more tactical of the two. Except when he was stubbornly looking for a ko. That's DLH at his worst.

This is true. I felt he was extremely careful, knowing that beating Oscar was his ticket to the bigtime. He didn't even grow into the welterweight frame at the time but was fighting a full fledged Super Welter. I don't think he was sure if he could take Oscar's punches or not, Oscar just killed Mayorga!
