He is 5'10 and weights 200 in the off season. That's the same size Mike Tyson was!

GGG has a massive size advantage at 160 against most of his opponents, he would need to cut an arm off to make 155 (that or lose some muscle mass).

He fought @ 165lbs at 2004 Athens Olympics, that's now well over a decade ago.

His team did offer 164lbs to Ward (who's a big 175lber that could barely make 168lbs) , knowing he would have to reject the offer.

Porter lost a lot of mass to get down to that weight, look at him now he's still got a big build @ 147lbs.

GGG has a big frame, why do you think he doesn't fight Canelo @ 155, which would be the biggest fight of his career?

Canelo is known to be a big guy @ 154 and by no means undersized @ 160, he makes 155 with a bit to spare.

If GGG decides to be a weak out of shape boxer, he will be 200. Unfirtunately for inferior boxers GGG is comfortable at 160.
Holding a historic 15-0-0-0 (KO 15) 100% KO streak in consecutive title fights, breaking Wilfredo Gomez 14-0-0-0 (KO 14) KO streak

Wade might be able to break GGG KO streak :think

Because it's for the 160 title not 155.

Canelo know's GGG will be an extremely tough fight @ 160lbs, he might even think its a fight he can't win or he has a very small chance.

@ 155lbs the game changes, GGG is either severely drained or he has to lose some mass and potentially some of his power. Either way its a much less threatening fight that is very winnable for Canelo.

But it is flat out wrong.

Canelo is a champion in the 160lb division, therefore one would presume he must realise he has to fight actual 160lb fighters at the 160lb limit not his and Golden boys mythical 155lb weight division.

Anyone who agrees with Canelo defending his belt at 155 should be ashamed and ts why we are going to see him possibly fight blown up welters from now on.

canelo is champion of 155 division (caneloweight)
hes never fought at 160. bumlovkin accept 155 or no fight.
at 155 the triple duck knows canelo could destroy him

Contenders will fight Canelo @ 155, don't get it twisted.
The only reason he's fighting Khan first is because Khan is a big name in his own right.

I don't agree with him defending the belt @ 155, but it is what it is and Martinez was the one that sold the belt down this route.

If GGG really has a problem with the catch weights but can still easily make 155 than he should go down and spank him and take it back to 160. The reason why he doesn't is because he can't, he will be a Zombie @ 155lbs

Martinez fought Pavlik at 160 and all his defences up until the diva COtto fight.

And again why should there have to be a catch weight when both fighters are in the same division?

Canelo and Golden boy are everything that is wrong in boxing at the moment. Golovkin will make el Pollo suffer when they eventually fight and not at Canelo weight.

155 should be easy since ya'll claim GGG is a small middleweight.
