Of course i'm talking about Gervonta Davis vs Lamont Roach! Davis didn't "bring it" like we thought he would... and as i watched the fight, i too called it a DRAW (especially after they showed the numbers at the end before the official decision was read). Still - was that or was that not technically a "knock down" when Davis took a knee in the ninth? Hmmm...
For me it absolutely should have been called a knockdown, and I'm convinced had it been Roach taking the knee after a jab it would have been counted. But Wahid was expected to destory Roach and solidify his claim as the best LW in the world. He's probably still a favourite against Shakur, Loma or Keyshawn, but if he never faces them it's all for nothing.
