So currently I have a Fight Gear headgear without cheek pads. I'm sick of it because during sparring and fights i always have to adjust it due to the inside being leather and sliding around when i sweat. I have been looking at other headgear WITHOUT cheek pads and the only two i have found that dont have a leather inside are the Title competition headgear and the adidas headgear. The title is a suade leather and the adidas is some type of a foam inside but its twice as expensive. does anyone have any other types or experience with these headgear and how well it sticks?

Ive got a Top Ten Olympia headguard. It doesnt have leather inside and its made from this soft rubbery stuff called bayflex.

Basically its the best headguard Ive ever had, loads of vision, doesnt slip at all really depending on how tight you adjust it (too tight and you will have some weird looking marks on your forehead for at least an hour afterwards lol)

Used to have a headguard with cheek protectors made from artificial leather, it would slip alot, restrict my vision (which I didnt realise until I got the top ten headguard) and to top it off it really ****ed with my skin, like irritated it.

If you can find a Top ten headguard in the USA Id definately get one.

The only thing I dont like about it is the chin strap can dig into my throat sometimes, but Ive got a massive adams apple so I think its just me.

Oh yeah lastly, you can get them with an AIBA sticker on them (costs like £15 extra event though its the same thing) so yo can use it in competition.

I have a Fight Gear brand air max(i think) guard. Real cushiony and it has holes for ventilation so if my forehead sweats the gear at least stays in place. All the other one sI've used before slip around a ridiculous amount.

hahaha nah bro, I'd pay the 130 for the adidas, i just wanna know if anyone has used either of them and prefers one over the other. I'll spend the extra buck but i wanna know how good it is before i do so

    £130 or $130?
Either way still not worth it for the adidas headgear. You can get Cleto Reyes,Casanova and other top name brands for that much.

If it's for competition the get it. However, if you're going for a headgear for sparring...you can get onw w/ much better protection.

edit: might as well get the adidas one. I just read that you want them w/out cheeks.
