Head to head against other greats at their weights, Louis or Armstrong?

    Who do you rate higher? Who do you pick to beat them?

    I wouldn't pick anyone to beat Joe Louis, though I might give a few an even chance or close to it.

    Armstrong at his best I would favour against any 126 or 130 pounder in history. At lightweight I think a few would have an even chance. At welterweight, I'd favour some to beat him - Robinson, probably Gavilan, Basilio, perhaps Griffith, maybe Napoles.

    I rate Louis number 1 at heavyweight.

    Armstrong would probably make my top 5 at Feather, Light and Welter.
