Usyk is already better. Fury would also school him just fighting southpaw. In fact Dillian Whyte would be him in his southpaw stance. Ortiz is useless

Not even close. Grandpa Ortiz is perhaps the most overrated southpaw ever, as well as being among the most overrated HW contenders, period!!

Just another thread attempting to boost Wilder’s resume.

“Wilder beat the greatest heavyweight southpaw in history” bs:lol:

Usyk after 3 fights..., Michael Moorer, Chris Byrd are all definitely better. I don't really know if Ortiz is better than Ibragimov or Chagaev. Tough to say with his absolutely barren resume...

Moorer with the best resume would be crazily undersized.

    Ibragimov
    Corrie Sanders
    Byrd

The best ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Edit: totally forgot about Usyk. Oh well

Don’t care for wilder, sorry. The post is literally just an attempt to brainstorm the historical, southpaw heavyweight roster.

The funny thing is Ortiz and Usyk share a common opponent in Epifanio Mendoza

A 1-0 Usyk was able to stop Mendoza legitimately in 4 rounds and drop him twice

14-0 Ortiz couldn't even drop Mendoza, let alone get him out of there in 4 rounds and could only win on a DQ7

Usyk is the best southpaw heavyweight H2H.

Ortiz at his best is probably 2nd, his competition is Moorer, Byrd, Sultan, Sanders, Chagaev, Thompson, Wallin. Jalolov and Kossobutskiy among up and coming HW's.
