Nah. he hasn't fought anyone of note other than Wilder who he lost to twice.

The guy is gatekeeper level with his resume. anything more is overrating him.

Usyk's win over Joshua trumps everything Ortiz has ever done at heavyweight.

I think Ibragimov was one of the best southpaw heavyweights, as was Chagaev until he got Hep B. Moorer too.

Interestingly, all four are blown up cruiserweights, smaller heavyweights.

Currently, Jalalov would easily knock Ortiz out. He doesn't have much of a pro resume yet, but head to head he's easily a top ten heavyweight.

Fury isn`t that good in a southpaw stance and Wallin`s southpaw stance gave him problems.

You have brain damage. Wilder sucks and does not have a single noteworthy performance.

Anyone who knows what he is talking about knows that Sanders hated boxing, and often did not train. When he did, he was capable of getting a win over Wladdy, which is better than Ortiz's entire career.

Michael Moore ranks higher too. Usyk is a no Brainer. In his short stint at hw, Usyk already has a far better win than Ortiz.

Of course... Heck, even after just 2 heavyweight fights he was ahead - the Chisora that Usyk beat was FAR more dangerous than the pathetic fighter that Jennings was when he fought Ortiz (and let's face it, that's as close to a noteworthy win as Ortiz has got).

Ridiculous how Ortiz is mentioned as remotely relevant - he never was and he certainly isn't now he's basically shot... A shot ghost of a never-was.

Usyk and Blond Ortiz are the best by a large margin, with the exception of 90s Corrie Sanders, who cuts it closer than the others.

Michael Moorer is the first name that comes to mind. Byrd, Sanders, Chagaev also deserve consideration. Ortiz is more of a What If? kinda fighter. What if he turned pro before the age of 60?
