Well if Pascal beat Hopkins last time out that win would be much stronger.
Froch has a problem vs good boxers. Jury is still out on him. If he loses to Ward he would be #3 or #4 at 168 and Hopkins is still fighting so, very tough.
At the very least he is a warrior, makes great fights and can't be counted out because of his chin and determination.

How can you put him P4P right now. he has a lot of very good fighters on his resume but nothing amazing. Not one spectacular win.
Kessler he needed to beat. that was and is his best opponent and he could not pull it out.
Now he faces Ward who is favored. This fight should decide P4P or not.
Win and he gets it all, Super Six and P4P. With a loss you just can't give him p4p losing to the top 2 in his division with nothing else spectacular.

His recent run of opponents 100% ensures he is in the top 2 in the division, behind ward. How anyone has Bute ahead of him is beyond me. He hasnt fought anyone in the calibre of Pascal, Taylor, Kessler, Ward etc.

If your comparing his record to Pac's, Froch's must be pretty good no?

Yeah, I have Kessler 2 and Froch 3 and Bute 4.

Either way - Kessler and Froch are very close. Bute is harder to assess because of a lack of opposition.

No comparing resume. Manny did not lose in his last 7. Froch lost to Kessler and too close to call with Dirrell and gonna lose to Ward.

I could list 10 fighters + that have better wins than Froch off the top of my head.

At the end of the day froch is fighting at 168. He lost to the best he faced at 168 in Kessler. he is a dog vs ward. The other wins are good wins but nothing to put him p4p. Beating Kessler and Ward put you in the p4p list.

    Away and away..... arrr...

If that was the case then Sturm and Abraham are fighting 'away' when they fight in Germany. Their promoter is based in Germany, but neither are German.

So since Pac's promoter is US based and aims to give PAc the best possible conditions I wouldn't agree that all of those are true 'away' fights where Pac had all odds against as the away fighter.

Ward is already P4P number 6 or so.

Kessler and Froch are on many people's P4P lists around 8-12.

which is a total joke, if ward was british and fought the exact same fights all in britain he wouldnt even be top 30, americans get a fast track to p4p status then fail epicly like pavlik and williams.
