Great fight, im taking Duran as the greater fighter in a h2h comparison , almost perfect style of fighting imo. But h2h against each other? I dunno, hard hard to pick, im still going with Duran though!!

Mendoza is not half the poster I am. And yes, it would be a great fight, it's on my list of fantasy match-ups to send to the time machine people in 2017.

I've looked into and they're not going to have it. They want to do stuff like save Kennedy and visit Jesus before they even sort out Ali v Louis. This is why we should vote, people.

I think it would be a tough fight.
Not one I'd like to predict a winner for.
Both were absolute terrors at their best, complete fighters.

It would be interesting seeing Duran go at somebody with the offensive firepower of Ike Williams. The perfect style to beat Williams is a slick boxer-type with a good defense. While Duran brought fine defensive skills, he wasn't a boxer and would fight fire with fire against Williams. It's not out of the question that Duran gets put on his ass in this one with something he doesn't see coming.

While Williams was a complete boxer/puncher, from what I've seen of him, I don't think he was better on the inside than Duran. In my opinion, that would be the difference in this fight.

I'd like to hear more opinions on this

I also think Duran was more versatile, but while Jack often smothered Ike on the inside, he never seemed to really take him off his game, and when the shots were there, Ike would hit him with jolting uppercuts, straights, etc, landing the harder shots, even though Jack was initially outworking him. This eventually wore Jack down while Ike was still fresh, and you know the rest. Considering that though, I'm not sure I'd favor Ike unless he stopped Duran. He's probably the one with the best chance of doing so though.

Manassa, you've seen more Ike than me, how do you think he Decisions Duran?

Either by outscoring him or winning on points probably.

Not nearly as badly as Whitaker would outscore Williams though. We can all agree on that. Even worse would be Roy Jones vs Archie Moore. Can you say Jones/Toney all over again? :smoke
