Whitaker's defense is every bit as good as Floyd's (if not better) And, their work rates are not even comparable. Whitaker threw about 100 punches per round. Floyd throws about 50. Both have below average power at 147. But, Pernell would not fall for Floyd's traps the way some of todays fighters do, and would outwork Floyd for a clear decision win.

Quite honestly, I am not sure that Floyd would beat Buddy McGirt at 147.

I think Whitaker in a close but deserved decision with Mayweather and fans doing enough to claim he won.

Mayweather UD. I think he exploits his marginal size, reach, and strength advantages to outpoint Whitaker in a close low-action fight in which nobody lands 10 punches per round for most of the fight.

I don't know. I would be sleeping after 3 rounds, though!

would be a fuking beautiful fight to watch.

I think whitaker is the best boxer ever skillwise, but mayweather has a handspeed advantage and will be able to make whitaker lead more often than not. voted draw.

It would be a close fight, with probably a close and disputed scoring.

Most of them don't seem to know that for most Mayweather fights. Seem to expect some sort of war. :yep
